Restaurant bewertenWow the burgers served in breakfast and the fresh local fruits are awesome to have here. Certainly recommended to stay and eat breakfast here.
Tasty soy mango smoothie after a walk along the beach. Great chat with Malcolm the owner about the area. Loved the rustic charm.
This cafe is on the esplanade & has a lovely outlook. A simple yet adequate menu and our 'toasties' were fine. We had a bit of a wait which was compensated by watching the cook/owner's young daughter being the perfect hostess, cashier and waitress all rolled into one. Delightful!
We had dropped of the edge of the world, dripping, steaming hot, last stop before the jungle, fruit bats hanging around in the trees at dusk, and crocodiles lurking in the roadside ditches. The beach place was clean, comfortable and air conditioned bliss. Hosts were helful and inconspicous when necessary. Its miles out of Cairns and a long walk to a very poorly stocked supermarket, good food can be had at the yacht club, they will lend a tie.The area for swimming is completely safe with nets, apparently, but you are safe from Stingers and other nasties
We went for a lunch option and found all day breakfast too. Had three pancakes, maple syrup and some banana slices for $8. We got a couple burgers and a ham and cheese toastie as well. Toastie was $7 and burgers were $10. Made for you in 10-12 minutes. This place has lots of convenience items as well like cereals, chips, candy, water and soda all higher than the grocery store but not too bad. They have seating for maybe 20-25 outside in front. You can rent kayaks there too. It is right across the road from west end of beach. They have milk shakes and smoothies too.
