King Rustic - York

Love this place and have gone often but can't do it anymore! They serve food on old nasty wooden plates. If you run your knife across the plate brown substance comes off. This is what you will be eating!! Clean up this issue and use...real plates PLEASE!

My husband and I ordered the burger and fries for him, and the California love salad for myself. He said the burger was the best he's ever had, and I found the salad to be absolutely delicious with a perfect blend of flavors. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I was in town for a conference and wanted to have a local sit-down meal outside of the hotel district. I found this lovely restaurant and despite there being an important basketball game, we were still able to get a table. The service was fast and the prices were reasonable. I decided to order the Cajun chicken dish while my wife had some appetizers. The food was delicious and filled us up perfectly.

Stopped off for a late beer and enjoyed my drink, but not the friendliest place I’ve ever been to, if I’m honest!

This was my first visit to King Rustic. When I ordered a Hendrick’s Gin, the waiter mentioned they also make their own infused gin. But it was not available. I found it odd that he mentioned it if it was not available. I ordered the...California Love salad. I did not enjoy it too much. The chicken was very dry. It was also supposed to have avocado, I may have had two pea size pieces. The seating was hard to get in and out of. Once you were seated, you are basically committed for the night. My seat back was by the bar too, so I really felt cornered in. Unfortunately it was uncomfortably hot as well. Good thing the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I will give the place another go and try another item from the menu.
