Restaurant bewertenExcellent afternoon tea. really good price also for the quality and quantity. great service anywhere. keep booking, otherwise they have to wait outside.
We were told by several people we had to stop here during our stay in york. on the last day we decided to delete the waiting queue as expected was really long and slow. I think we've been complaining about minutes to get in. we sat down, because we were not excessively hungry, we chose a tee and a fat rascal each. service was really great, professional and friendly. as expected, the place heaving was but the staff seemed good to manage. we ordered and waited a good time for the tee and then the smokers, not that we thought when we were not in a hurry. because we decided to check the load, but were somewhat disappointed as there was a small selection and what was available, it was very overpriced, but I think that is to be expected.
This is such a beautiful place to visit for special occasion. We visited as a treat for birthday, the food was lovely, very tasty more the enough to fill you up. The pianist played Happy Birthday while everyone in the Belmont Room sang to me... it was lovely with an individual cake candle for me. The best part of Bettys is the service, its something special.. always worth a visit.
Generous helpings servings, historical touches such as the uniform, lovely decor, pleasant aura. Delicious food, tasty dessert, lovely selection of classic cakes and patisseries. Fairly priced, great menu (more options inside).
There is a reason why this is one of the best tearooms to visit in York. I must say it was worth the hype The staff were swift and the range of dishes available are something to note. From teas to desserts, they ensure to pamper your senses in the best way possible. The traditional afternoon tea was a winner, found the dessert to be quite sweet, however if you have a sweet tooth then go for it!
