Restaurant bewertenVery rude staff and manager, the alcoholic beverages below standard and overpriced needs addressing. Will not be going again.
Once a month me and the girls meet for lunch. We are local to Pershore and keen to support local business ' especially during the current climate. I recommended the Anchor as I 've really enjoyed my previous visits. Wow, I was embarrassed to of even suggested bringing my friends. We certainly did not receive a warm welcome, we had to ask about the track and trace system as this was not clear. Food choices were limited and our table was filthy. My friend returned her glass with lipstick on to a very unfussed rude Welsh lady. Everything should always be spotless especially during this pandemic. I had fish and chips, soggy fish and frozen chips. One of my friends ordered the steak, it was over cooked so we spoke to one of the waiting staff who we believe to be the landlord. The landlord was rude and abrupt and said what did he want us to do... 'uncook ' it?! After a terrible meal and the way we heard him speak (I use this term... loosely! to his staff we paid and left promptly. I really wasn 't happy paying full price and wish I had persisted with my complaint. Incapable management, terrible service and cleanliness standards FILTHY. DO NOT waste your hard earned money.
No food, no service, no information. Was a thriving business under the old managers Luke and Ryan, but then the new 'expert ' owners had to meddle.
Went for lunch with my friend. The starter of Brazil, mozzarella and pine nut arancini was delicious. Followed but a homemade burger and vanilla and white chocolate cheesecake. The staff were friendly and very helpful. A lovely place to come and socialise. Food was very prompt. Could not fault our visit. Will be coming again.
Dropped in yesterday, mainly due to all the talk of even more new owners, so we were in a mood of scepticism.menu looked interesting, with the pub favourites to please the majority. emphasis on local produce which was very nice to see!! and surprisingly hard to find nowadays)Most of us opted for the Sunday Roast.........can safely say it was one of the best roast dinners i've had in many years. quality of meat was exceptional, great big roast potatoes and yorkies. mixture of different vegetables to please all.finished with a nice vanilla creme brulee.atmosphere on the terrace over the river was great, there was a real buzz and enthusiasm from the staff which complemented the weather and general feel of the place.Well done guys, keep it going
