Restaurant bewertenMy wife and I usually visit the wetherspoons on regent street however they were unusually busy so decided to try The North and South Wales Bank. Ordered the pizza deal and it was very underwhelming. Dough was raw in the middle, missing toppings and the tables where disgustingly sticky. Service was just as lacklustre. All staff very rude. When I asked for a clean glass for my wife’s wine I was met with rolling eyes and a snappy response. The gentlemen’s toilets were an absolute shambles. The floor was completely covered in what I can only assume was urine judging by the smell. Doesn’t deserve a star truly disgusting.
Well done to the staff as they were rushed off their feet. The food was great and so pleased that you are open again.
We decided to try the North and South Wales bank as I wanted an all day brunch when we entered the pub we were allocated a table right in the back of the pub,we ordered our drinks at the bar and paid by card, the pub is adhering to the covid 19 rules with social distancing in place and markings on the floor area,we later ordered food at the bar and the food arrived very quickly and was very tasty,This wetherspoons is not one of the best for atmosphere and does look a little bit tired, but we will be back in the future.
Just how to share that I felt absolutely safe this afternoon. large layout everyone observed social distancing. personal and service excellent. eat well and hot. bonus that we have a really big deal with eating out to help schema. well made to all at lloyds no 1.
A beautiful stone built former bank, with beautiful skylights and selected in gold at the top of the piller. it is a lloyd’s and the decoration reflects this. it is mainly a large room, with some stands on the back. the toilets were on two stairs, ladys ok. interesting local historical pictures at the walls to see how they go up the stairs. it was tax-free day, so drinks very cheap!
