Restaurant bewertenMy family avoids most Italian restaurants, we're so picky and really critical. We had the pleasure of dining at Al Fogolar for a special occasion. We were familiar with the restaurant, having been at the Famee Furlan before but we'd never eat at Al Fogolar. We had the most incredible meal and my Halibut was, without question, the tastiest piece of fish I've enjoyed in a very long time. The staff was also very friendly and they seemed happy to be there. The environment is very laid back as the décor is an old world rustic feel. Very warm and inviting. I definitely recommend this restaurant and we will definitely return.
We have been eating at Al Fogolar for the last 3 decades. It is a quiet, classy restaurant, where you can bring business people for lunch or dinner, take family and friends for dinner or book a special occasion. This is not a pretentious Woodbridge restaurant. We have used this restaurant for our children's baptisms and communions. The food is excellent. Guests have enjoyed the food and facility. Book a reservation in advance. There is Italian cuisine here that you will find no where else. Steeped in Northeastern Italian tradition, some of the cuisine and wines are specific to the region.I highly recommend Al Fogolar for meals and family functions.
Has been a staple in the Woodbridge area for over 30 years and just got better The new chef is fantastic and has moved up as one of my favourite restaurants Great antipasto and some of the best pasta dishes I've had
Al Fogolar Restaurant is a hidden gem! The ambiance resembles an old Italian eating area, with a hearth and a copper pot hanging over the fireplace. It's gorgeously rustic and reminiscent of pioneer days. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The staff is very attentive to details. Dominic and Candice will ensure that your function goes very well. If you want a unique venue for dinner or for a family function, I highly recommend Al Fogolar. Located at 7065 Islington Ave., on the north east corner of Islington Ave and Steeles Ave. ( inside The Fame Friulano Banquet Center)
The best pappardelle and pheasant I've ever had. I didn't even know I like pheasant. This is a definate must try. Lovely atmosphere as well. Good for both lunch and dinner.
