Restaurant bewertenCongratulations on coming back to business after the unfortunate breakdown of the oven. Not mentioning the great taste of pastries, the atmosphere of the store, friendly service, and the smell of freshly baked bread give me sense of peace. Thank you.
We stopped just just after noon and picked up the matcha brioche, rhubarb glazed croissant, hazelnut chocolate croissant and an almond cream croissant. All were really good and not super sweet as I'm not into over sugary pastries- and you can tell it's more a higher end bakery. A little over $3 a pastry which is reasonable for the quality and it's of good quality. We were promptly greeted by a friendly young man as well and learned of course the chef is French. They use the best grade matcha and ingredients. They've advised they'll have future seating for the bakery soon. Would definitely come back when we are in the area.
Living in Winnipeg The Thaw is always welcome. It signals the end of winter and the arrival of spring and more enjoyable weather. Well, now Winnipeg can enjoy the thaw year round. I’m talking about The Thaw French Bakery which opened last December on Pembina Highway, just north of MacGillvray Avenue.
Loved it! Got a bunch of croissants and absolutely loved them! A bit on the expensive side but that is to be expected! Will deffinetly go back!
Tasty and well made goods. We were there Sat midday and fresh warm bakes were still coming out warm from the back. Staff knew the product. We'll be back.
