Shark Club - Winnipeg

Visited for dinner while on a business trip in Winnipeg The shark club is on the upper floor of the City Place mall. The shark club is unique that it is part sports bar, part restaurant, and hosts a small attached casino with a few tables and maybe two dozen slot machines. It was quiet when we arrived but was getting louder as the evening went on. By around 9:30 it was staring to be too loud to be conducive to good conversation.The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and willing to take the time to explain what was on tap, and work out some specialty cocktails for our party.The food was definitely a step above what I expected. I had the roast beef dip with an excellent soup for the side. The food across the table all looked excellent and no one seemed unhappy.The value was also quite good; better than other restaurants I have visited nearby. Finally the cocktail menu was varied, and the selection of taps was excellent.if you're looking for a fun place to relax and kick back, the Shark Club is a fine choice.

I ordered sliders and fries and the burgers were cold, fries were hot. I wasn't given a napkin, or cutlery. I could not get the attention of the server. I needed a refill of my drink, ate without anything to drink, server did not come back to my table. I finally approached her when I saw her at a till and asked if I could pay my bill. She told me to go back and sit down as she's very busy. She was polite and clearly busy and it's not her fault. She was flirting alot with other patrons I guess to get bigger tips, but my table was ignored. Will never go back. The only thing I enjoyed was the atmosphere, but you can get that at any sports bar.

My friend and I were looking forward to trying out this upscale sports bar and watching a hockey game. The sign at the door said: "please seat yourself and we'll serve you". We found a table by the bar and settled in for what we hoped would be a fun evening. However, we waited for about 20 minutes and while several servers walked by, none ever approached us. Eventually we gave up and left, passing a group waitresses chatting beside the bar as we walked out.

Great place to meet friends after work or just before the Jets games. Come before 5:00pm on jet nights. Quick and friendly service, menu is simple, atmosphere is a bit noisy, watch tv or read the endless news banner. Cheers!

Always come here with friends and such. Great atmosphere, chic and modern. Service depends on which waitress you get. I've been times where my drink has come within 1 minute. Where as other times, it takes almost 30 mins to get an iced tea or an alcoholic drink. They have great waitresses at Shark Club. It's clear whose there to work, give service to customers and the wait staff that are there, to flaunt and stand around.
