Restaurant bewertenWe stopped here for lunch before boarding our flight since Westjet no longer serve lunch on flights less than 2.5 hours. We were greeted promptly and seated with a view of the runway and enjoyed our meal and a beer which were delivered in plenty of time for an unhurried lunch. The tables have call buttons for those in a rush whereby you can call your server to order something else or just to signal that you are ready to pay the bill. Lunch was about $15 pp
I went through security and decided to get some lunch and a beer since i had some time to burn. There was service disk on the table. I pressed it a couple of times. What a crock. Everybody else that came after me were waited on and i had to stand up and wave a waiter over. The beer and meal came and then i was forgotten again. Empty glass, flashing disk. No service. So i finished quickly and paid and went to the next business to get a drink. I am in the service industry and this is probably the first time in twenty years i haven't left a tip. Terrible service.
SadlyDisappointed by this place Looks good on the outside but the servers are atrocious Not one smile or anything They blankly stare at you no hello nothing They do however talk to each other in another language which was sad for me My fish and chips were undercooked and greasy to the point I could not eat it all Go to Tims instead
One of the few restaurants post-security.Plenty of seating. Small menu. Licensed.Reasonable prices considering portion size and in an airport.Call button on your table; Use it.Ridiculously busy during my morning visit; There were at least 50+ people at all times with primarily one waitress run off her feet! Every once in a while a second server would appear but very rarely. There were singles, couples, families with young kids, drinkers... I watched as our waitress, Rowena brought menus, took orders, served drinks, ran food, took payments... all while being patient and pleasant with everyone. She's amazing!FYI, A scramble is: some smashed up tater-tots mixed with the requested ingredients. An omelet type egg-pancake placed on top, topped with cheese. I found it tasty but, greasy. They are large portions.
I had supper at Prairie Bistro while waiting for my flight home. Katrina was my waitress; although it was very busy, she did a good job to serve the patrons - management should seriously look into having more staff on hand as there were many people complaining that they were waiting twenty plus minutes without anybody serving them.I had a patty melt which was far from tasty; there was hardly any taste at all - surely was lacking some spices. It's basically just fast airport food with a bar. Best to eat before coming to the airport.
