Restaurant bewertenAmong the best Chinese food in the city! that was just the best we ever had. crispy, saucy, tangy, spicy. the bark with mixed vegetables was probably also the best we have experienced. similar to most places, but a step above. lean and full taste. fried rice was made to perfection. Tasted without being too salty or costing too much as soy sauce like some places. chicken balls were as they get from most places. mostly white meat, not too fat, maybe a bit too much teig, but good. still after a replacement for our beloved oceana chicken (from oceana restaurant that has closed about 10 years ago), or the honey glazed chicken from the gourmet chinese restaurant (which has closed about 5 years ago), and hoped that the hot and sour chicken would be their equivalent. no luck. it is good, only not what we hoped, and man, it is sharp! it packs a hit! the prices are somewhat steeper than some others, but they get a 10 discount on cash orders, and the quality and taste are worth it. pleasant service, and eating was ready as promised. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could.
Find a better Chinese restaurant for these trips. their combos come with enough food to pack a bag and most are less than $10!
Our first time here was a great experience. recommended by a friend this small local restaurant was a welcome surprise. large portions very tasty eating for a very reasonable price. has really enjoyed the mixed vegetables. we noticed that many people pick orders. at the theke, so that the place must be known by the locals.
Maybe we're in a rut, but we don't order from anywhere else. we know the restaurant, the menu, our favorite and order from there at least once all two weeks. we love the shanghai noodles, dragon plaza bark meat, moo shi, knödel and won...Ton suppe.
We have been going to Dragon Palace for over 10 years and they are still the go to for Chinese food in Westwood. They have had a few ownership changes over the decade but the food, menu, flavour and chef have remained constant. The portions...might change but the value remains. You do seem to get bigger portions for take out but it is nice to eat in on occasion. If you do eat in the restaurant, a litre of wine is exceptional value. There is always lots of food, lots of flavour and lots of character. If I was a Chinese restaurant I would want to live in Dragon Palace.
