Riverside - Windsor and Maidenhead

Great food and great service this is one of our favourite restaurants keep up the good work

Staff weren’t incentive No one. came to get us seated was waiting a while had to ask Although id informed the restaurant it was for an anniversary there was no special service Very disappointing

Having got stuck in traffic jams for over an hour and a half, we could not make the booking time of 12.30pm at the Riverside Restaurant. We were limited on time anyway, as we had a wedding to attend at 2.30pm following the lunch. I therefore tried to phone the Riverside Restaurant whilst sitting in the traffic jam to tell them that we would not make the booking to cancel it. However, I could not speak to an actual person, as is so often the case these days, and was faced with an automated list of options for the Macdonald Compleat Angler, none of which came close to matching what I was ringing about (ie cancelling a booking for the Riverside Restaurant). In exasperation, I gave up. I had no signal on my mobile phone, so could not cancel via the app.

Rack of lamb very good and also fish of the day. Small portions but excellent presentation,

We enjoyed our meal in the Riverside restaurant, the lobster and crayfish cocktail was delightful as were the scallpos. The nibbles of sough dough bread arrived at the same time as our starter and was was really not needed. The steak and chips were pleasant but have had better. The chicken milanese again was pleasant but have had better. Overall we enjoyed it, but cannot give a 5 star rating.
