The Hampshire Bowman - Winchester

Met friends for lunch yesterday. Car park was very busy with what looked like an MG car club gathering as well as other customers. Despite being very busy we got our lunch in good time from the welcoming friendly staff. Bowman Swift One was in great condition. Food is wonderful value and prepared with skill and care and have to mention the generous portions too. A lovely well maintained garden is available for alfresco eating and drinking if you like. Have been many times over the years to what is an exceptional country pub. Thanks to all the hard working staff.

What a gem this place was, a huge beer garden, a great selection of drinks, board games for the family and dog friendly. We went over August bank holiday and it was packed so there was a long wait on the food but we were well informed and when it arrived it was delicious!

Super staff, fantastic food, great garden. Lovely extras like the water station for dogs. Dog ice cream would sell well.

Fantastic roast! Make sure you book up in advance because it’s popular and with good cause. Lovely outdoor garden area, with play area for kids and dog friendly. Excellent food and experience.

Lovely meal and ambience, staff were friendly and kind to us, accommodating with our young baby.
