Pender's Cafe - Wilmington

A local jewel. The same owner since 1977, who can share a lot of history of the local area. Menu is simple and brings you back to an earlier time frame. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with Coca Cola articles from the past. We ordered the breakfast special (see photo of their sign). Things came fast and hot. Good breakfast with simple prices. The old school lunch counter brings you back in earlier times and you can have great conversations with waiters and chefs. Booths are nice and reserved for parties of two or more. Look at the original sheet metal ceiling and the designs. How many restaurants today you will find friend bolangi Sandwiches!

Super delicious juicy cheeseburgers with mustard onions, salad and tomatoes. Big, fat, crispy French fries. medium coca. Or sweet tea. Excellent price $7.69 total

Long-term place with friendly staff and lunch restaurant. Known for their handmade fresh beef burgers.

The staff was so nice and everything about it is so good! I went in and the lady was very patient with me since it was my first time. I tried her pender burger and absolutely loved it! They were really friendly and attentive, 10/10 would recommend! It was a few streets from downtown CFCC, but it is really worth the walk!

Owner is so sweet. Very down home atmosphere. It's a small eatery. Food was good, prices were reasonable. They were short staffed so there was a small wait but only a few minutes. The food was worth the wait. Drop in for a quick bite.
