Restaurant bewertenOrdered fish and chips, pigs in blankets on Brioche, drinks and a children's picnic. The pigs in blankets were cold (possibly due to the fact there was more pig than blanket), the fish was only half covered in batter, undercooked and had old dark bits of batter adhering to it. The peas were cold and hard. The fish and chips were £7.50 the chips being the only edible part of the meal. I told a passing staff member and was ignored, and to top it we were sat near the kitchen and could hear swearing as the staff interacted with each other. Undercooked food is a hazard and I will be giving this place a wide berth in future!
Waiting for 3/4 hr for an over cooked breakfast dry sausage wrinkly egg broken bits of black pudding and by the time we had received it we had drunk all our drink well rehearsed apology about the kitchen being busy Shame this place used to be acceptable
Went in on boxing door purely for a coffee. Coffee was OK but small but very short staffed. Much better options.
Oh no! I ordered the lasagna and had to wait 20 minutes for it to be served. The portion was very small, baked in a tiny dish, and the edges were burnt and rock hard. The flavor was lacking and for £7.50, it was a major letdown. The saving grace was that the cappuccino was decent.
We stopped off for a quick coffee and cake whilst shopping. The cafe wasn’t very busy at is it midweek. There was a member of staff at the till and 2 girls serving the hot food when ready. The empty tables were full of dirty plates and cups. I could understand staff being busy but it wasn’t and at one point a young staff member began to clear tables only To be pulled away to serve at the tills because another staff member shouted her to watch the till as she was going on her break. Despite the cafe full of dirty tables... Please go if you like to have your lunch between dirty plates, cups and cutlery.
