Texas Great Country Cafe is a rare jewel. The waiting staff is the best in the area. The food is always good and cheap (so you can add a little more to the top. The atmosphere is all Texas, even the tables are named for Texas cities. It only took a few visits before the waiting staff heard my name. Overall no better culinary experience in Lake Whitney area.

Best food ever! I had the chipotle grilled chicken shrimps Friday night with the best fried Okra and fried squash! Must go back Sunday for the grilled pork chops that were wonderful! I wish they would come to my town!

I love everything about this little café. Prices are reasonable. You'll never be hungry. My favorite appetizer is the fried pickles. The best I've ever eaten. The staff treats you like family, and the finals are the variety of homemade cakes. Slices to eat there or completely to take home.

Found this place a few months ago. Love it. Home cooking country style, great staff, and reasonably priced. And PIE to die for. Try it...you will like it.
