Restaurant bewertenReally wanted to have sushi but their debit machine was down so went across the street to Panda Panda. It looks like your typical dive noodle house and when I walked in and saw 4 Chinese people eating, I knew I made a good choice. <br/ <br/ Ordered the jellyfish with cucumber #8 on the menu) to start. Beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. Not too acidic, jellyfish had a slight crunch and tasted delicious. Cucumber was crisp and the toasted sesame seeds added a wonderful flavour. Knife work on the cucumber was stunning. Slurped it down in a hurry. <br/ <br/ Next was the Taiwan beef and noodle #19) soup. Soup was salty but full of flavour. Noodles were tender and the beef was fall apart, melt in your mouth yumminess. Hints of anise and cardamom... Absolutely delicious! Veggies were crisp and warmed through. <br/ <br/ For dessert, I had the deep fried milk #35). Came out hot and crunchy. The milk itself was warm but not blistering hot. Not too sweet but very creamy. Wonderful finish to the meal.<br/ <br/ Total bill was $30 including tax! Yeah, that's just fine for Whitehorse. You can't even do McD's for that price. I'd come here every day if I lived here.
Tasty freshly made food paired with speedy service make this a favourite for lunch. Brightly lit and sparsely decorated dining area. Big fan of their homemade wontons and BBQ pork. Also recommend the curry, with a bit of the hot sauce if you like it spicier.
Panda panda is our go to authentic spicy, comfort food in town. We have dined in a number of time, but routinely order delivery for the taste of delicious sichuan food. The dine in customer service is great, but calling in an order we are always greeted by a warm voice and they are open to recommending things, excited when you are keen to try something new.The spicy sesame paste chicken noodle bowl, Sichuan braised beef and spicy noodle soup, and the mapu tofu are incredible. Their spring rolls are also the best ever homemade and not overly greasy . Only place in town I will order Chinese food. Veggies are crisp and fresh and never feel heavy after eating here. Also their prices are reflected in their portions and quality!! 10/10 recommend! :
This is the best food we have eaten during our 4 weeks (to date) in Canada. We ordered the Singapore noodles and ramen noodles with beef. Both dishes were really tasty, generous with ingredients and serving size. Delicious. The service was a bit gruff but the food made up for it. Highly recommend.
The only chinese food worth eating in whitehorse. Absolutely amazing food. There is nothing on the menu that's not worth trying. Run by a wonderful family. Highly, highly recommend trying them out
