Restaurant bewertenFelt it lacked a strong flavor. Seemed to be just tomatoes and cheese. And for $32 I guess I was expecting more. Staff was cheerful and friendly.
I was looking for a loaded deep dish, which they don’t really do. I added sausage and green olives to the vegetarian pizza, which pushed the price to $37. Got home and no olives and sausage only on one side. After I finished the task of cutting through the deep dish pizza, (which you have to ask for apparently), I was able to dig in. If you like tomatoes you are in luck. Pretty good (tomato) flavor. The crust is the typical no rise flour/water—-just dense and flavorless. Fortunately, there’s plenty of red sauce on top to keep a dry crusty piece from getting stuck in your craw. I guess I’m not a big fan of traditional Chicago style and that’s what Pezzo’s is offering here.
We were very impressed with the food and service. We ordered the Greek salad which was incredibly flavorful. For pizza our choice was the Mediterraneo and we absolutely loved the flavor. Both dishes were better than we assumed they'd be. Very fresh tasting. The only reason we did not rate the food a 5 is for the lack of vegan cheese options.Our table was a party of 10 and our service was excellent. Attentive waitress and very friendly.
Go to place for delicious pizza and appetizers!! Been here a bunch of times and we love it!!
For years we have loved this place but in the last 4 months we have been very disappointed. The last 3 times we have been there, there have been problems with our food or issue upon pick up. I understand things happen but when you are in the food and service industry as a company you should try to make it right. Tonight we placed an order for pick up and someone came out right away to collect payment. Then 20 min passed and someone came out to say WiFi was down and couldn’t process payment. Another 10 min and nothing. So now I am going to be charged for a cold pizza! They didn’t even try to solution it. Just said can’t have the pizza. If you have to leave you have to leave. The last time this happened we had to ask if they were going to do something for their mistake or issue and they gave a gift card. Again things happen but they should have had a solution and apologize. We will not be back!
