The Goodwin Hotel - Weymouth

Here for three dinner times. great eating, best scallops I've ever eaten, I counted 15 on my teller, while most restaurants would serve 5 7. the squid and the seafood plate are also exceptional, served with the best pommes I had in the years....A small menu, but enough variety to satisfy everyone, including carnivores. make them place for dessert house made cake! the service is excellent, and for people who get used to eating the city, the prices are incredibly reasonable.

Went to Diner for a quite night out, it was my birthday, What a lovely little place, Really good home cooked food. Desert also very good, Coffee finally tasted like coffee... Had a very pleasant evening the service was amazing.

We had a pleasant meal with our family at The Goodwin. We've been dining there for the past twenty years and have always enjoyed the food and ambiance. The owner is kind and the food is fresh and well made. I ordered the pan-grilled scallops which were cooked perfectly. The desserts are made fresh daily and the coconut cream pie with meringue was delicious. The prices are fair and they offer wine and a few cocktails. It's like dining in your grandma's home, but without having to do any of the work. What's not to love!

We stopped here with 4 adults and two children. Service was fast and the food came out quick and was piping hot. Dishes ordered were 3 large fish and chips, a fish burger, cheeseburger and one beer and one glass of wine. Dessert was delicious...blueberry pie and ice cream. Total cost was $118. Portions were huge, well worth it.
