Restaurant bewertenThis is an excellent spot to socialize, lend a hand, and enjoy yourself!
As a Legion member I can safely say that years ago this was a great pub to eat in and meet people. They had a good chef and there was some great atmosphere and the beer was always very cold and the patrons and staff were fun and friendly. Then they opened the place up to minors in the early evening hours and it killed the pub atmosphere and turned the place into a private Denny's. The food is now bland and ordinary. The beer is barely cool enough to drink. Prices are still reasonable. The service is hit and miss. The hours are inconsistent. There's no more pub atmosphere. This used to be a happening joint on a Friday or Saturday night and now it's just another old fashioned Legion. Pity.
Chose this place as it had a reasonable menu and was across the street from our rented apartment.
Hands have changed way too many times. Menu is so inconsistent it's not even worth going there, as you won't know from day to day what's going on. The drama and politics from the members makes it a very tense place to be. And to pay $50 a year membership to hope you have a friendly server who actually brings you food…. not worth it.We've been in there and our server appeared drunk. From friends who know her well, she likely was. Other servers will not help each other, and it's truly a shame to see the purpose of the Legion being swiftly defeated because of control freaks. we quit going due to all the problems within the place involving staff and members.
We went there for lunch and the kitchen was changing hands to a new owner, limited sandwich menu because the health inspector had not arrived for the inspection to allow cooked meals, they made the best of the situation and 10 of us had wonderful sandwiches with great service and a quiet atmosphere , always a great place for lunch.
