Pookie's Thai - Westlake Village

One of the best Thai places around Thousand Oaks. The food is just part of the experience. The outdoor seating with sounds of waterfall, and a small pond with ducks is a serene experience. It's good to visit in the evenings in summer so that the heat doesn't kill you.

This restaurant is tucked in a business complex with a lil man made pond which gives it a relaxing and hidden environment, which is part of the appeal. I’ve never come when it’s too crazy busy, but always steady and it seems like a place where there are local regulars who also enjoy the chilled out environment. The dishes are very tasty, if a bit americanized, and we’ve always received friendly service, the table outside we want, and a good experience. They have a huge variety in the menu and alcohol also.

Great service, kind staff. Beautiful location, delicious food. 10/10, will be dining again. Pineapple Shrimp Curry was great, recommend with purple rice. Westlake Blvd noodle dish was also very good. Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce rounded it out nicely. And check out this view. Not pictured is the sounds of the waterfall and birds. Mm.

A very relaxing ambience and friendly staff welcomes you when you enter Pookie's. The food is tasteful, offers a good potion and is very satisfying. The place looks very high, but is light on the pocket. It is better to reach a bit early or to reserve in advance, as the place is filled very quickly. There are elaborate seating inside and outside the restaurant, but it gets cold outside during the evenings. The offer takes place. The staff is also very helpful as they explain every dish we are interested in and recommend dishes according to our interests. I will definitely visit again, only for the love of good Thai cuisine and the ambience of the place.
