Beautiful setting. Food is delicious and well presented. Definitely worth a visit.
The best experience in Tulbagh so far. We booked a mini high tea in advance. Lida made the most wonderful spread of sweet and savoury treats. Besides the delicious and well presented eats the museum itself is in an immaculate condition. Not a speck of dust and each item is labeled with a proper description in a booklet provided. The condition of the building and exhibits are in a far better condition than the 'museums ' in town. It is good to know that a piece of our history is in good hands.
A friend and I went for a mini high-tea. It was a cold, rainy day and we were given a table in front of a crackling fire. The table was beautifully laid and we were welcomed warmly by Lida. Our delicious first 'course ' was an espresso mug of hot butternut soup served with a warn, freshly baked bread roll. Our bite sized spinach and bacon quiches were extremely tasty and our light as air scones were served with butter, apricot jam cheese and cream. We each enjoyed a slice of delicious chocolate … – show
Just drive through town to get here. Interesting antiques, lovely views of the mountains and good coffee and cake. Very friendly service. They'll be hosting high teas soon and even have a baby grand piano for house concerts.
