Restaurant bewertenWe decided to enjoy a leisurely late lunch and came across this place online. The staff graciously gave us a table by the window, making for an enjoyable experience. They offer three small plates per person from three different menus priced at £10.50, £12.50, and £13.50. We opted for the £12.50 menu, which featured a variety of Italian-themed dishes. When the food arrived, it was piping hot and expertly prepared. The flavors and overall quality were impressive, especially the calamari, which was lightly coated in tempura batter and served with a garlic mayo dip. There was so much food that I initially declined dessert. However, upon closer inspection of the dessert menu, I discovered a delightful trio of small desserts on one plate, paired perfectly with a rich cappuccino. Our total bill, which included two desserts, a large glass of white wine, and two pints of Peroni, came to around £60 including the tip. There was plenty of parking available in the rear lot, and the restaurant itself was clean, tidy, and well-maintained. The staff was attentive, even though it was mid-afternoon and had quieted down significantly since lunch. Overall, it was a lovely experience.
We had an amazing experience at this restaurant, particularly thanks to Ang, who greeted us warmly as a family of five. All the staff were attentive, and the food was excellent. Our waitress, Ellie, was particularly great; she explained the menu thoroughly and was extremely pleasant. We will definitely be back soon!
We had a wonderful dining experience! If you're a fan of tapas, you absolutely must try the pesto. Our server, Katie, was excellent throughout the evening.
We have dined here several times, so we chose it for my birthday lunch. Unfortunately, the service was subpar. The waitress, who had a strong accent, seemed incapable of offering a smile and was quite brusque, even snatching the menus from our hands! The food was disappointing compared to our previous visits, with portions that were significantly smaller than those at other Pesto locations. The oregano potatoes were particularly unappetizing; they resembled the leftovers you would normally discard from the bottom of a fryer! The Arancini tasted like soap. Overall, the food was awful, and the service was shocking!
Possibly our fifth visit to this restaurant the service, seating and background music very good as before. The food not up to previous standards, the fish cakes were greasy and soaked with oil, the calabrese sausage in red wine didn’t taste fresh and wasn’t spicy at all, the chicken skewers overcooked and very dry and finally the lasagna which was the highlight of our last visit was just ok. Having found a restaurant that suited us both we are now having second thoughts.
