Restaurant bewertenStopped in while passing thru Wells from Portland. Seacoast was on my list after reading and seeing them on a list of must taste pizza places in Maine. Upon arrival, I was surprised how small the location is. It has 6 tables inside with seating for 6 at each table. It is comfortable, for sure. The staff was awesome. Very helpful and open to answering any questions you may have. The questions are plentiful because of all they have to offer. Pizza, Pasta, Subs, Desserts and a ton of drink options (including wine and beer). I wanted to get a few different items so we sort of spread out the choices....calzone, sub, onion rings and a slice of sicilian pizza. All the food was delivered quick and hot. I had a turkey sub with mustard and pickle. The sub was fresh but not a ton of taste. Kind of hard to explain but it was kind of plain. Not bad....just a comment. The spinach and cheese calzone was great. not too bready...just perfect...well cooked and great size! The sicilian slice was awesome. It was crispy, which reminded me of Sophie T's (Nantucket). It was a great size and very good! Onion Rings were good, too. Plenty of them for a decent price. Coke products are served....we had a root beer. Parking is plentiful Pricing is very fair Open Thursday Sunday during winter hours. Closed Monday, Tuesday Wednesday during this time. great spot!
Review for Seacoast Pizza and Pasta As a pizza lover who enjoys everything from frozen pizzas to chain favorites like Domino's, I was extremely disappointed with the pizza we received from Seacoast Pizza and Pasta. We ordered a plain cheese pizza, and while it technically met the criteria to be called pizza, that's about the best thing I can say about it. The crust was bland and lacked any distinct texture or flavor, resembling a frozen pizza crust you might find at Hannaford's--but not nearly as good. The sauce was equally unremarkable, adding nothing to the experience. Overall, the pizza felt like a missed opportunity for a comforting and satisfying meal. Given the choice, I'd prefer a frozen pizza or even a basic Domino's order any day over what we experienced here.
The Sicilian was a bit doughy and could have used more sauce. The meat lovers was very good. The cheese pizza had a good crust and undercarriage. Not much flop. Nice amount of oil on top. The sauce could have used some more spice to it. A bit bland. Prices were good and the restaurant was very clean. Great staff as well. I rate the cheese pizza a 7.2.
On a spontaneous decision, we decided to grab some pizza, and it turned out to be delicious! We enjoyed our meal outside on a lovely day. I'm really glad we chose this place.
This restaurant is definitely more geared towards take-out than dining in, but that's exactly what I was looking for. The staff was extremely friendly. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the pizza. I ordered online, which was straightforward enough, but be sure to check your cell service before heading to Wells – it can be spotty! I opted for the square Sicilian style pizza. I really should have included something in the photo to give a better sense of its size.
