Restaurant bewertenThe environment was warm and spacious. My fiancée and I went on a Sunday afternoon (2pm) that was not packed. The waitress was funny and involved in what we wanted to get when we asked about the menu. I had a mango margarita that tasted well, but not sure if ice was put into the drink and crushed with a steak knife or a badly crushed ice machine. That made it hard to drink my drink through the straw as ice always stuck. What the foods we have Cuernitos Sampler that has a sample of all their appetizers: -Great samples: The shrimps, mozzarella sticks and chicken taquitos. - Not that big sample. The jalapeños stuff was not hot (flavor wise) and tasted frozen and warmed up with more cream then the pepper itself. Regarding the main course, I ordered the Acapulco Platter, where the side of the beans lacked taste, the shrimps could have been seasoned more (maybe because the shrimps from the appetizers had more taste and not the same or better expectations). Other than that, rice and vegetables were sweet, but not exaggerated and delicious. The steak and the chicken were in place with the paprika and guacamole. While I looked at some of the reviews, maybe my fiancée and I came at the wrong time to really get this 5-star quality in the food flavor, but if we left, it would have been better. Pricewise it was a bit more than the other Spanish food locations, but you have a Doggy bag that is a plus for some.
Placed $85 order, sat at the bar to get a drink, I obviously was not in a hurry. My food comes out, I notice I?m missing the toppings to my nachos, so I get that while I?m waiting. Figured what are the chances of me missing more Items? I get home and I?m missing , the toppings to the fajitas, the tortillas, the rice and the beans and I have lovely hair in one of the entrees. I can understand if they were busy, but it was dead.
Amazing food, great atmosphere for dancing and just have a nice time in Houston! The staff are beyond amazing. The food is mind blowing: freshly made, piping hot, and with real authentic Mexican recipes. They have great vegetarian and vegan options, too! 10 stars!
Love coming here. Pretty close to authentic as you can get. The menu covers pretty much everything you could be looking for. The dining room is spacious and clean. The service is excellent. Pre-Covid they have live music. They have an outside seating area too. They also have a bar, which we did not order on this day. They sit large groups with no problems, ie, party. The food is always fresh and delicious. Portions are good and pricing is very reasonable. We always come back.
So the reviews can depend on what day and dish you get I guess lol,but for ME,it was delicious! I ordered the Vermont chicken dinner,we also got fries, which were very nice with a unique taste and crunch to them! Husband ordered medium bone-in ribeye steak, also ordered fajitas nachos which were PACKED with meat and came with side of guacamole and sour cream! The veggies which consist of broccoli&carrots were delicious which just enough flavor! Give it one try, and if you don't like it,don't come back, but can't say until you try right?
