Restaurant bewertenGood little tamale/taco place. I?ve been here several times and always enjoy it. The staff is always friendly and the place is clean. I recommend the brisket. Price may be going up but that?s everywhere, and it?s not their fault. Would recommend it andwill come back
I had left a great review about a year and a half ago but just deleted it due to that they have been slacking on the taste of the tamales and extremely high prices not worth for the quality of food. I thought they were a franchise or same company as the original Alamo Tamales, well they are not, they are trying to fool people, last I had ordered brisket tamales not only once but twice back to back and they gave me pork and found out when I got home, I didn't mind the 1st time because mistakes happen but cmon 2 times in a row...? I've been their customer for almost 2 years but guess what they aren't getting my money or my business ? ? ?. I'm going to find a new place. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE PRICE FOR THE QUALITY OF THEIR FOOD OR EVEN THE SERVICE they have been providing lately its an absolute NO for me.
Tamales are good. Good flavor and decent size. I thought they were partners with the original Alamo tamales and even asked them and they said yes but just got confirmation from the original Alamo tamales that they have nothing to do with this location. Would I go back ? Probably but prices have gone up since then. They are cheaper at the original Alamo.
Always have had good experience with Alamo tamales. My wife and I gagged on todays tamales. Some synthetic substance was used instead of corn shuck. The masa was soupy and dropped off the tamale when trying to pick them up to eat. The tamales were like mush. The fillings were flavorless- for bean tamales, pork tamales, AND cheese and and jalapeño tamales. WHAT HAPPENED??? We went and told the guy running the place about his experience. He mumbled something and said he would pass the word along. We paid 60 dollars for SPAT (Substance Posing as Tamales), the meat equivalent of SPAM (Substance POsing as Meat). I tried to flavor them up with salsa but to no avail. We felt scammed. My wife was right on describing these “tamales” disgusting and tasteless. These are “horrible” she opined on her first bite. I had to agree.
Fantastic breakfast tacos and simply outstanding tamales. Always fresh, always delicious! Been eating there since they opened their doors and went to their other location in Houston before that. Highly recommended!
