Erbert And Gerberts - Wausau

One of my favorite sandwich shops I've visited. The bread has a chewy and fluffy texture, and each bite is filled with a delicious, saucy crunch.

The service was ok, but the food was great. They have the best bread. Way better than subway bread.

If I could give them zero I would. Ordered last week and was on hold for 15 minutes. Got there and the girl behind the counter was fighting with someone on her cellphone. Then I hung up and called back. The phone then rang she said to her cellphone call well I have call you back Umm...yes please. She made me wait for the call- to the business. Since it was myself I waved my phone and explained I waited for 15 minutes. She proceeded to say she had a big order. Then she told me she didn 't know the rules of gluten free and cut herself earlier so could only use one hand. This evening I figured we would give them another try for pick up. Roy answered and after spelling my name 4xs said out loud shut up I can 't hear her to take this order! Then proceeded to tell me Door Dash does my orders. Again, I explained I would pick this up. Roy was so confused that he transferred me to the rudest customer service individual. She refused to give me her name and told me I wasn 't in the system and maybe just order when her boss was in. Then proceeded to hang up. Well you have lost my business and anyone I talk to. My Husband was on this call and actually corrected this customer service individual and her response was no your rude .

In my view, Subway, Quiznos, or other sandwich shops are just as good, if not better. I was neither impressed nor did I find anything that set this place apart from the others. On average, I believe it is somewhat overpriced due to the limited options and lack of differentiation from similar establishments.

As always, Heir and Gerbs impress me. The food and service are excellent. If you order double for items like meat and cheese, you actually receive double, unlike some places that promise this but don't follow through while still charging you for it. I tried a cup of Mac and cheese with BBQ brisket, and it was fantastic! I’ll admit, I miss the former menu item, but the new options are definitely satisfying.
