Restaurant bewertenWe regularly visit Quoin hill for a great (and inexpensive) lunch on a weekend. We are always warmly welcomed and are guaranteed great food and service. There is a fixed menu and a blackboard menu with specials and desserts. Steve and his daughter produce some solid favourites (e.g. a beef pie and fish and chips) along with dishes based on what's fresh and available at the time. I always love seeing salmon on the specials board as it's combined with great ingredients and flavours. The antipasti platter is very substantial, and a great choice if you want to share. Vegetarians can also find options - and Trish will offer suggestions if needed... Along with weekend lunches, Trish and Steve have also provided the local community with a great venue for weddings, birthdays and other celebrations. Finally, don't forget to collect some onion jam or kasoundi on the way out - they're great,
A family wedding was held here recently, beautiful views from the courtyard over the vines and surrounding countryside, a really lovely spot for such celebrations. Will visit again to sample some more wines and try the cafe.
Visited with a group in October 2015 and came back with a different group in October 2016. Still great. Extremely co-operative management, fantastic meals and faultless service. Their wine's are great too. Don't miss the pinot noir.
We treated ourselves to a lovely lunch of autumnal flavours washed down with their 2012 pinot noir. From the beef and shiraz pie to the chicken/prosciutto/grape/rocket salad w parsnip chips - the food was faultless as was the quietly efficient, friendly service. The mascarpone/white choc cheesecake w passionfruit made a fine end to a memorable day out.Did I mention reasonable vineyard prices? And a respectable 2010 pinot grigio?Go there soon
Went there as part of a car club group of over 60 people for lunch on Sunday 1/11/15.We were made most welcome by the owners and staff and nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. The meals served were both very large and extremely nice and the wines provided were also very nice. The owners and staff were extremely friendly and the service was both prompt and efficient. They made our gathering feel more like a family get together than a meal at a restaurant. I can highly recommend this venue to anyone travelling through the area. Every one of our club members commented to me on how nice the meals were and how good the staff were. It is well worth the drive out from Ballarat.
