The Last Unicorn - Waterville

We ate here last night on our home trip from Sugarloaf Resort. I had the free olive oil bread, followed by the famous bread and cheese plate. Cheese Tortellini with mushroom cream sauce, side salad and green. Maybe it was the best I ever had. Service was impeccable. I highly recommend this facility.

The Last Unicorn is now officially the best restaurant in Waterville,Maine. It's menu is a delight, their food the bet and their soup is the best soup I've tasted anywhere in Maine and I'm a soup guy. I majored in soup. Over the past few years I have eaten here at least a dozen times and never been let down . They are a shining star for good food and service in central Maine . Consistent quality and attention to detail . Nice job guys , thank you!

I had my first experience at the Last Unicorn and I cannot wait to go back. The environment is inviting, the decor is beautiful, and the food is delicious. I am not a fan of mushrooms, bit the Tortellini with Mushroom Cream sauce was delicious and not overpowering with mushrooms. Even when they had run out of the dessert that I wanted try, the sustitute was better than I expected. Their famous cheese dip is worth having as just a meal. I cannot wait to bring my husband next time.

I have loved this restaurant for decades. The ambiance is soothing and fun, and the food is amazing. I never go back to Maine without a stop here. Absolutely consistently amazing. P.S. if they ever serve the roast beef and boursin sandwich (providing you aren't vegetarian), take them up on it. I have been making them since I was 15 and still haven't perfected it.
