Evangelo's Restaurant - Wasilla

Your Gyro Pizza is my favorite! We usually eat here once a week, in summer Evangelo is never disappointed. We come with a big group, usually 8-10, plus a few kids, and we never have a hard time to find yummy decisions for everyone. Last night we ordered everything from pizza to the urn, to pasta. The chef was even nice enough to make one of our little boys a menu item on a busy Friday night. This is great service!!

We're here for our birthday. Waiting time about 20mins, so we sat at the bar and enjoyed a drink. The service was good. The disappointment came when our first-class rib dinners were delivered over boiled. We ordered medium rare and from the Pix you can see that they were moderate. The waitress went back and apparently they ran out of Med-rare and couldn't notify the servers. Okay, I was on some nice in the season Veggies, but they were super soggy... I swear they were frozen. After all, we were 1/2 way through our meals when we realized that they gave my husband both of our horse cups.... I thought they just served without. Small complaints really, but they add up

Best roasted ravioli of my life! This elegant restaurant has a great feeling and excellent food while it is good value! Service is also great! They were very attentive to our drinks and made sure we were well supplied. I had the Philly with soup and my husband had the steak sandwich with fries. It's a lot of food, and we're gonna be worth it.

FOOD-BORN DISEASES OR ILLNESSES: I suggest that this place is closed. Shortly after arriving last afternoon for a party, I noticed that the food was already prepared and designed for serving on a buffet style table after asking a friend who had arrived 30 minutes earlier than I, he said it had already been there when he came there at 5:00. The appetizers were ready at 5:30 and were not ready until almost 6:00. The fire under the food was stopped only 15 minutes before the food was finished by the other moats. Dinner was ready again at 6:30 and was not ready until 7:00 in the evening. To make something worse, later in the night, my wife woke up at 1 in the morning, what you see here is her plate. The potatoes were dirty. And as we were told that once EVERYONE had a plate, we could go back for seconds, as I did, so I was told that the food should not be touched because it would be sold later in the night above. (This is a complaint waiting for you to understand what is said here. I filled a to-go box that was given to me by another employee.

I planned an event here on 11-19 in the banquet room for 60+ people and I am so pleased with my experience and the food. The room was decorated for the holidays, it looked great. Everyone I spoke to who attended was very pleased with their meal. Staff was pleasant and courteous. Staff was immediately responsive when any need arose. I will plan to have my holiday event at this venue again next year.
