Restaurant bewertenThe restaurant has a welcoming staff, delicious food, a clean environment, and a play area for young children. Prices are reasonable and the restaurant is easily accessible with a front ramp. Unfortunately, lactose-free milk is not available, but they do offer almond milk as an alternative.
I had lunch at the Downtowner today (April 5, 2022) after being away for a while, and we are also members. I was excited to see that the Garlic Prawns were back on the Seniors Menu, and they were my go-to order. The prawns were delicious (though there were only 4, they were fantastic) and the salad was lightly dressed and very tasty. However, there was a major issue with the creamy rice, which was not at all creamy as it should have been. When I mentioned this to our waiter as he cleared our plates, he was apologetic and said he would relay my feedback to the kitchen. However, another young man later returned and informed me that the matter had been escalated and was being further investigated. This young man provided impeccable service, attention, and vocabulary, which is unusual in today's youth. Bravo.
After leaving our fav Pub because the new Menu didn't appeal at all, we found ourselves here. Wow! The customer service was impeccable. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food absolutely delicious and plentiful. I seriously had trouble finishing it. We chose the Seniors 3 course Menu for $19.90. The best garlic cheese bread we have ever had. The Carbonara pasta dish beautiful and a gorgeous sticky date pudding. This is truly a wonderful restaurant, so much so that we booked again for next week. There are a lot of restaurants in Warragul that need to seriously look at their prices and lacklustre menus but this restaurant is not one of them. Congratulations everyone.
The restaurant offers delicious food at a great value with excellent service. The place is extremely clean and the kids' play area is well-maintained. The kids' menu is priced at $11 and includes a main course, soft drink, and choice of dessert (ice cream or "snake in the pond"). The lunch menu is priced at $12 with a wide selection to choose from. The lamb fry is well-cooked and moist inside, unlike other places that tend to overcook it. The dinner steak is priced at $30 and is a nice piece of meat. The Thursday special of fish and chips is a bargain for $10.
