Restaurant bewertenI found Poke Stop on Google Maps when I was looking for Take-away food. I have the hotplate (kalbi-bone-in, garlic shrimp, fish of the day and choice of poke). Instead of one side of potato salad, I asked for Kimchee. It also comes with the choice of rice (brown, white or sushi). And I added Spicy Garlic Tots and a container of ginger. For Covid- this place asks that a customer/group in the building at once, then you will wait outside for your order if there is another customer. That felt completely reasonable and they were very fast to get me the order. There are no tables to eat. I think for the cost, you get a great deal of good. The calbi was just lovely. The shrimps were delicious. Personally I became too sharp on a Poke (I would have asked for a sample, my bad). The fish of the day was a white fish that seemed to be fried. I think the calbi and the shrimp were my two favorite parts. The Tator dead were Tator dead. Like what can go wrong. Anyway, it was wonderful. I recommend Poke Stop.
That was a little jewel, we discovered it on the side of the road and it said locally, so we gave it a shot, and boy paid it, the food was really fresh and the service was great, we will be back when we are on this side of the city, we split two flavors of Ahi Poke, the garlic and the creamy aromas over a bed of warm rice compliment it very well. I hope this helps you and has a great day?
Overpriced. Not fresh tasting. Overly drunk. Fish too salty. Rice subdone. Ingredient proportions path awakened. I couldn't taste anything like cheese and soy sauce in my Cali dish. If there's no cheese in it, it's very disturbing. I wanted to taste the fish, instead I only tasted salt and cheese. Visit Hawaii and this restaurant gave me a terrible start to dinner here. Never come back for the rest of my life. I wish I could give 0 stars.
The good: the woman worked very nice and gave us a lot of food The bad: the food. The rice was not completely boiled (i.e. crunchy) and muddy because they had too much water when it was cooked. Since I've already bought it, I've tried to find if some of the rice has been cooked all the way, but it was a big nothing. The whole bed of rice was bad. I also think that the fish was not fresh. Something about it was out and I guess the rice was bad because I could only eat a small part. It is too bad because the place has good reviews and the amount of food was above average.
Went here on a weekend to order 1/2 lb of poke. Turns out it was frozen fish and not fresh. Very disappointed and felt cheated. I understand the pandemic has been hard on restaurants, but substituting frozen fish for fresh and charging $20 bucks a pound is a shame. I hope the owner, local boy Elmer, knows what's going on.
