Restaurant bewertenNot great not bad. Got the chili dog, pineapple, and dole soft serve. Relatively efficient even with the long lines, not very friendly at the cash register but that doesn't really affect my experience. It's your only option for food on the plantation so still definitely worth it unless you brought your own stuff. Definitely get the fresh cut pineapple though. You can get the soft serve lots of places.
The Plantation Grille is located within the iconic plantation style home flying the Dole flag on the roof. It 's in the back right corner passed all the gift shop things. The line does look intimidating sometimes, as it gets super duper long, but it moves pretty fast. The workers are professional, very hardworking and efficient. While exploring the Dole Plantation, I had to get my obligatory Dole Whip/ Dole Soft Serve! Hmm... I 'm not too sure why it 's referred to as the Dole Soft Serve on all menus now when we used to refer to it as Dole Whip? If someone knows, please tell me! :o There were a few different ways of Dole Whip to choose from. Regular in a cup or cone (regular, waffle, waffle chocolate , waffle bowl, pineapple split, pineapple float, sipper cup float or with toppings $1 (crushed pineapples, coconut flakes, li hing powder, rainbow sprinkles, cookies and cream, syrups [strawberry, raspberry, chocolate, caramel] . The possibilities were totally endless.I chose the Regular Dole Whip with the pineapple chunks topping. The pineapple soft serve tasted a bit more acidic and tart than I remembered. My memory is a bit fuzzy as I did have this eons ago. It was not too sweet, this part I really enjoyed. I think a regular sized cup or cone can definitely be shared between 2 people. After 3 spoonfuls, the thrill wore off for me but it was $8.50, so I finished it. Never waste food! If buying two Dole Whip cones, check out the brochure on their website for a coupon to get a free regular Dole Whip. Present coupon at time of purchase. Cannot be combined with any other offer. No cash value. One coupon per family. Besides Dole Whip, there are also a lot of different food items like entrees, sandwiches, desserts, kids meals, beverage options, and more on the menu. The cuisine is pretty local style with specials like the Bulgogi Bowl of the Spicy Ahi Bowl. And items like Loco Moco, Kalua Pork, Teriyaki Chicken, and Teriyaki Burger. You can check out their website here for food descriptions doleplantation.com/the-p… Prices include the paradise markup LOL XD I didn 't try other items besides the Dole Whip, but the menu pictures looked appetizing. It 's super busy in there, a constant flow of motion and noise. For dining, there are counters and stools in the back corner past the ordering area or tables with umbrellas outside.
Only rating based on food because I did not do the maze/tour/etc:The dole whip tasted refreshing after a long day of driving but it doesn't wow me a something unique. It taste the same as any other dole whip dessert in Oahu. The customer service was fast, the line looked long but it moved fast because of the amount of workers manning the station. The place is crowded so you will probably be eating this on the move. It is easy to transport but be careful for melted dole whip melting from the side.
Happiness is Dole Whip in a cup, or cone, or with pineapple chunks, or in a float, or encased in chocolate! Basically no matter what you choose, you will not be disappointed. I personally love their Dole Whip with pineapple toppings it is absolutely delicious and refreshing! What better way to celebrate completing their pineapple maze or enjoying a cool treat before boarding the train or exploring their garden. The ambiance is casual and a big busy depending on the day. Expect a line, because it's that good but the service is pleasant and quick. The rest of the food was great as well and big in portion!
Lines were out of control and the order and pick up locations feel like they fell apart. There definitely could be more organization to the service. One poor lady did our check out and made the dessert. There was plenty of seating at the time and we were able to make friends with an orange kitten and a rooster while we cooled off.
