Restaurant bewertenThis was an amazing dining experience. Deborah doesn’t speak English and we don’t speak Italian so our host booked a table for us. I’m so glad we did. The menu is a set menu. You basically eat what Deborah cooks. It’s home cooking in a home environment. It really feels like you are eating in the back room of their house. We were given a rough idea of what we would be served but I’m an adventurous type and am happy with that arrangement. To start we had antipasti. An array of cold meats, cheese, pickles and bread with a glass of fizz, which I assume was Prosecco. Primi was the most delicious mushroom risotto accompanied by a glorious bottle of local red wine. At this point, it became apparent that everything was locally sourced so it may not have been Prosecco earlier. Secondi was amazing beef done two ways. Roast beef, which was pink and succulent and manzo, which just means beef but was delicious (this is where an Italian speaker would know more). It was accompanied by fried onions with a roasted apple and a tasty tortilla with salad. At this point I’m fit to burst and couldn’t manage dessert. The table next to us did order dolce and it looked wonderful. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. The owners are lovely people, the location is homely and the food is incredible. Go with an open mind and an empty belly.
