Restaurant bewertenTraditional restaurant, of excellent quality both gastronomy and service. great option for lunch with the executive dishes, and at dinner with its wonderful dishes and very well served.
All right! the space is very pleasant, although a little noisy, because it was full! We went with a big group! employees always very attentive! the food was quite good, from the entrances, which were many, to the main dish, for desserts and drinks!
The best codfish, bolinhos de bacalhau, we have had on any trip here ever. We order it every where we go and this was perfect. Not too much potato, spiced lightly and clean crisp edges. If you have to stick to English just order the pre fixe- what is on the chalkboard. Along the canal across from Lebron, with cute red awnings.
I was there during Rio week. Food was good but not spectacular
This is a traditional eatery, as is quite clear from the guests, only a small handful was less than 60 years old. However, the food was good and the service was excellent as well. We had the Bacalhau and it was excellent, just perfect saltiness. The kids has a variety of pasta and chicken, and they left nothing on the plate, which only happens when they really enjoy. Recommended. However, the desert was a great disappointment and the reason for not giving 5 stars. I had profiteroles, and they where not good. It's a tricky dessert, and if they are not fresh, they'll be chewy. It seems they where based on frozen product and that's no good. To summarize, great place for lunch, but avoid dessert (it's not good for you anyway). It gets crowded, so be there early or be prepared to wait.
