The Breakwater Cafe Bistro - Victoria

Our server was very polite. We enjoyed the margarita flatbread, mushroom soup, lobster salad roll as veggie lasagna which was the best I’ve had in a restaurant. The location can’t be beat!

After moving into our new Victoria home my wife and I dropped in for a quick dinner. The service was friendly, the food delicious and the view exciting. Three monster cruise ships outside our window created a frenzy of buses, taxis, float planes, helicopters and pedestrians. Quite entertaining.

The service was quick and sometimes almost too rushed but she was friendly. The views were fantastic. However, the food was terrible. Most our table did not eat even half of our dishes and no questions asked. After our dinner near closing time, the bartender came over and rudely told to pretty much leave as it was closing. If you want an ocean view and a nice server and are just stopping in for a quick drink, then yes good place. Other than that I would say skip it. I am not a picky person but that was not a good experience. A Lot of tourists come in from the cruise ships and if this is how they are welcomed, I don't suspect they would return. I get why this is so low rated now.

With a medium-sized group, we were able to secure a reservation and get seated quickly. The view was lovely, and the service was excellent. Staff were helpful, efficient, food arrived quickly, and everyone enjoyed the evening.
