Spiral Cafe - Victoria

The open microphone is basically closed for new people unless you come at 5 pm. Every Thursday, the same old voices of the quite limited spark take over the microphones to milk the 3 chord songs along the enjoyment limit - with the exception of the Longhaired Neil, which is good and keeps it fresh. And the young woman who manipulates the limited pantry is obviously unhappy in her job and should probably have another more friendly barrista the simple work. the different players in the house band are good and play well, but the Emcee should limit the open microphones to a maximum of 10 minutes - not the 15 minutes S L O W-Pokey numbers that some players add to the audience. Spiral you need to shake it or you lose the heart of what you try to do. I'm not coming back.

The last numerous occasions to come here to this little fun neighborhood café were disappointing. Why be on a front counter that serves people when your demeanor is constantly surly and seemingly indifferent or cranky? Espresso had zero crema, and how for coffee in Victoria there are better options. Just because Covid, seems to give license for an apathy that never existed before in companies. I'm sorry. Lost a customer here.

The coffee here is great, the people are very friendly, and its relaxed, funky layout is fun and relaxing. It has also exhibited a great atmosphere with local art, weekly music collection and good food.

Great cup of coffee and latte and delicious baking. Very relaxed atmosphere and a beautiful place to meet with friends. I love the ambience here. Luckily I have friends living nearby, so I'm often in the neighborhood.

Just moved across the road with my roommate and we are both new to the area (have only been here a few days). We were attempting to get an item at the bakery next door but it was closed. We figured the cafe may have the baked good for purchase too, so went in and asked if they carry it. Black haired man behind the counter displayed some of the rudest and passive aggressive attitude I have witnessed. We simply inquired if they carry the item and he replied, Look.. Do you see it here?.. Then no. No reason to talk to speak to customers this way. We drink coffee multiple times a day and have literally moved right across the street so it 's unfortunate that we will not be back.
