McRae's - Victoria

This place was found via a Google recommendation. love the cozy atmosphere and fast service. I had the lachsburger and it tasted so fresh and cozy. the rolls and sauces added to this very satisfying taste that I did not taste in a burger yet. also the tweeper rings were incredibly crisp. I would recommend it personally.

Very disappointed today. I was looking forward to lunch with friends. Three of us ordered the SOUP OF THE DAY ? $5.00 (Cup) $8.00 (Bowl) House made soup served with HOUSE MADE focaccia. The soup was fine but it was not HOUSE MADE focaccia bread. It wasstore bought French bread with a bit of something on top. I asked the waitress about their house made focaccia bread. She askedthe cook who said that is the focaccia bread they get from their supplier. This is wrong on so many levels false advertisingand lying being two of them. Shame on McRae's.

The vegetarian burger was delicious, the children's mac and cheese was fantastic, and the pulled pork sandwich was very tasty. The service was friendly and the atmosphere is perfect for enjoying drinks with friends.

The restaurant had the same TV's as before, but the atmosphere was lacking. We were disappointed to learn that three menu items were unavailable. The daily soup was not even ready by 4pm, and the staff couldn't tell us what it was. The service was impersonal and the food was mediocre at best.

This local restaurant is fantastic, serving amazing food and offering a wide selection of tall beverages! Ordering a small tower gives you 6 drinks to share with a friend at a very reasonable price. I absolutely adore this place. The staff is excellent, and I highly recommend it.
