Restaurant bewertenThe tea room was fantastic in the first years it was opened. Now it has become much more expensive and the menu even from last year was much better. I still go and still enjoy it, but I miss the time when it was not touristy and reasonably expensive. I would still recommend it, but above all because of the terrain. I must admit that I admire the volunteers who support plant sales there and Tuesday morning. Update 2022 Post-Covid, the menu is now limited, closes at the end of August and only open 3 days a week, so always check their website. Food is still excellent. Now called Rudi's
First, one is accused by the volunteers of the costume while walking through their small museum, which is overly cured. Rudis Teestube costs $10.00 for a sausage roll that is too expensive. It should be at $6.00. You should not try to cheat such people to earn money for government house. All you get is a must and ketchup. It's not like the money pays towards the staff. They are all volunteers, and the cook is already paid. I also did not find the volunteers who work friendly there, whether they are young people or older. They are not friendly, warm or welcoming. Not a smile between them. This must be improved. And please lower prices to reflect most budgets of people. And for heaven's sake, learn how to smile and receive people. I watched while I was waiting, and it wasn't just me, they weren't warm or welcome. The problem has been for years. There is always room for improvement, and that takes great time.
What a beautiful experience in the sun. Tasty pavlova and rich tea cannot be better. Special mention for the super sweet tea ware .
I came here with some good friends to celebrate my 22nd birthday and had a really wonderful time! The Tea House has a variety of Silkroad teas and creates fascinating Italian soda. The general aesthetics of the café was quite rustic, but the food was decent in quality and portions. Staff and volunteers really helped to make this an amazing experience with their really warm hospitality. The costume museum is right next door and a great place to stop to see some breaths. Last but not least, the garden around the governor's house offers fresh air and stunning surroundings. The friends definitely made the experience even better, I would come back totally!
Does anyone know when the tea room will open? The coffee is very good and the muffins are yummy. LOL...Please don't tell anyone.
