Cute place. Well prepared steak and fish. Family style potatoes was cute... Don't have to choose between mashed and fries. Both were great. Dietary restrictions: A lot of GF options

Their seasonal duck dishes are outstanding and the staff are wonderfully attentive.

We had a lovely romantic dinner. Food was great, the service was amazing. We are really happy we got to come here.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, to the local Vergennes resident who recommended The Black Sheep. Walking in you do get a French Bistro vibe. And the food! It was excellent. My husband had the cold avocado curry soup with toasted coconut, delicious, and I had the very good escargots provençale. He had the steak, medium, as he ordered, and I had the haddock with a light curry sauce. We both finished with the maple creme brûlée. Warm baguette, french fries AND garlic mashed potatoes accompany every meal as well as pleasant and efficient service. All I can add is–We made reservations for tomorrow!
