Restaurant bewertenWe visited this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon, excited to try it since its opening. Unfortunately, we were disappointed by the service, portion sizes, and pricing. Given that it’s located in a strip mall and primarily serves families, it would make sense to provide amenities like high chairs and changing tables. My $14 cocktail was extremely watered down, and we waited nearly an hour for our food without being informed that the kitchen was short-staffed until we inquired. Our server seemed uninterested and disengaged. The portion sizes were quite small; what was labeled as a heavy breast was closer to a chicken strip. I did give two stars since the food did taste good when it finally arrived. However, the bill was very high, and there was an unexpected processing fee added. I'm not sure what that fee is for, but it seems like a cost the business is trying to pass on to customers, which isn’t right.
However, I felt that for groups of four or more, the menu could use a bit more variety. While the quality was good, I noticed a slight disconnect in the service; it felt a bit impersonal. The tavern atmosphere was lively, with multiple TVs showing sports, which might have been a bit overwhelming for my liking. Overall, while it doesn’t quite compare to authentic New Orleans cuisine—where real red beans and rice and beignets reign supreme—I was pleased to see this genre represented, even if it's somewhat underappreciated. Although it's a bit far for us from the Portland metro area, it's a great spot to visit when you're in the neighborhood.
My favorite place to visit when in the city of California. excellent eating, excellent drinks, excellent service. my first and last stop at the visit!
Had l lunch with my wife yesterday pretty slow but the food was outstanding. I had the popcorn chicken. It’s a nice location in the strip mall surrounded by four neighbors. Atmosphere was very easy going, will definitely return.
Can't wait to go back for football Sunday!! I was hesitant to choose Magnolia for our football Sunday funday but all of the games were on, the drinks were yummy and the food was on point. This will be our go to spot for football going forward.
