Black Bear Diner Vancouver

We stayed here on Monday morning on the way out of town. it was the first time we visited a black bear diver. we were the only few in the restaurant. the atmosphere was very beautiful! I ordered the egg benedikt again with haybrown. my man has an amazing looking omelette! it was made with all breakfast meat, two cheese and vegetables. my only complaining was that my ice was boiled over and the sauce was really good and the ham was smokey and crispy. the hash-browns were my least favorites and tasted more like raw kartoffeln than hatch. Even the addition of salt and pfeffer did not help much. the orange juice was really good and the omelet was delicious.

First time here for breakfast and I order the volcano, it was a big serving. They run out of bacon and instead of asking me if I wanted something else, they just gave me extra sausage. The pancakes taste like cake, it would’ve been nice if they put that on the description, so I only ate one. Service was nice and very welcoming.

So much food! Wow. A second meal for each of us with the leftovers. Flavor and freshness were great. Service pretty good. Coffee was meh, but the fresh OJ was amazing. Definitely looking forward to the next visit.

Overall, an okay experience. Food was fine— we got a breakfast and lunch item each. Eggs were great, hash browns were okay. Chicken strips were tasty but tough, fries were plentiful but bland. They do deliver on the promise of large plates, and the price was good. Our host was awesome and got us seated quickly. Table service took a while, and we are still in line waiting to pay. If you like bear-related ephemera, then this is your Mecca. The branding is off the charts here.

Nice casual place, ok to bring kids to. Had their Bear's Choice breakfast. The pancakes were a good size (7inches of so . If you like it cake like you'll love these, they were sweet and thick. Disappointed with the ham portion tasted good, wish it was a little bigger (looked like it was only a 1/4 part of a ham steak. . Service was good, kept up on the coffee refills. Ordered a side of hash browns and was not disappointed.
