Semento's Tavern - Valparaiso

I have been going to Semento's for years and have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is great if you are 21 or 80. The staff is incredibly personable and patient, the food is great, and they have a lot to keep you occupied if you decide to hang around awhile. I love the Italian beef and the cheese fries, and you can get great deals dependent upon which day of the week you go. If you do decide to stick around when you're done eating, then they have an internet juke box, pool tables, dart boards, and a patio to enjoy in the warmer months. I've had nothing but good times there whether I drink alcohol or soda, and I've never been hassled by any of the ownership for not drinking or for being a woman.

As bars go.. I was totally surprised and satisfied at the same time!Food was excellent, service was exceptional and the place was clean. I generally prefer bars and taverns to cafes or lounges, this cafe changed my mind about that!It's both at the same time.You are definetly only a stranger there once!

Great place to grab a beer and food. Really enjoyed the lasagna and 'Best Damn Ham Sandwich '. The service was very friendly and the cost of the food and drinks was very reasonable.

Absolutely love this place and it will always be my go to spot!! The vibes are chill and everyone is friendly. Went at around 6pm tonight and had about a 15 minute wait but it did not bother us. We had drinks and dinner and everything was perfect. Highly recommend!!
