Todo Perfecto Solo sentí que los raviolis de 4 quesos me sabían a queso amarillo cualquiera

We had an awsome dinner at this restaurant. We are traveling in Mexico for 3 weeks with our children. After a few nights of traditional Mexican food, we were all in the mood for a change. Since my family all loves Italian food, we decided to try this place. The restaurant is close to the main plaza in Valladolid. When we arrived, we were greeted by the owner, a real Italian Nona sitting in the garden. It was then, I realized this place was the real deal for Italian food. The garden has beautiful plants growing and although it was a bit warm we were comfortable. A fan would have helped but I settled for a cold drink. The menu is small and everything tastes fresh. I had potato truffle ravioli with cream sauce. It was hearty and flavorful. The truffle gave the dish an excellent depth without being overpowering. Our kids ordered a more simple pasta with meat sauce, which they loved. My son had a fresh lemonade, which was perfect after a long hot walk, and I had an ice-cold glass of white wine. Our dinner was delicious, and the service was friendly and fast. Prices were very affordable and we left feeling satisfied and happy. If you are passing through this colonial city and want some comfort food I recommend this place. You won't be disappointed.
So cute and sweet, a lovely little break from typical (in the local sense) cuisine. We had lechon ravioli, a first. Choices of wine are red and white. Lol. The white was perfectly acceptable. The menu is on an easel that moves from table to table. Seating is in a lovely garden. Definitely recommend.
In summary, the service and atmosphere is nice, but the food is somewhat mixed. The waiters that served us were very friendly and attentive. They made sure to make us feel at home, and were quick to bring us whatever we needed from them. My friends and I were seated in the back patio area, which was clean and tastefully designed. The waitstaff were able to speak and understand English, which made the whole experience more convenient and stress-free for us Spanish-challenged folk. This place is perhaps one of the best dining experiences I've had in Mexico from a service standpoint. On certain nights, there is live music in the back. The menu we had was somewhat limited, with only 8 food options in total. We tried the chef salad, which was a simple mix of greens, roasted veggies, cheese and peanuts. The vinaigrette sauce was very sweet and was a little over-empowering. Sweetness seems to be a recurring issue with the food, as my friend ordered a 4 cheeses ravioli dish with a mango-chipotle sauce which was similarly sweet and not very spicy. We ordered mojitos that were also very sweet for what they were (we confused it for limeade at first), but depending on your preference, this may be a good rather than bad thing. My other friends ordered the potato, gorgonzola and truffle ravioli. Although it was good, the gorgonzola and truffle sauce was a little weak, as very little gorgonzola or truffle flavor came through in the sauce. The good thing about the food is that it was light. While other 4 cheeses ravioli I've had have generally been on the heavy side, this one was pretty light, with the cheese filling being creamy and mild in flavor. I ordered a Strozzapreti Bolognese, and thought I found the sauce to be simple and mild, it was satisfying as a meat sauce pasta. Stronger flavors would help improve the overall experience, but I wasn't necessarily disappointed by the dish. Also, there was free bread with black olive tapenade, which was popular among my friends. Definitely a plus here.
