Raine Lounge - Valentine

I called the Raine motel directly and booked two nights with the owner with my credit card. When I arrived, the clerk had no record of my reservation. They had one room left so I took it. To my disappointment, it adjoined another room with a paper thin door and I was not able to get a minute of sleep the whole night because of the noise they made. I was like we were all in the same room. Then the about 8:30 pm the owner knocked on the door and said that I have to leave because she double booked the room. She said she would credit me for one night and actually gave me an official looking credit card receipt which she had me sign but I never got credit on my card. She cheated me out of $100.00. For the same price, you can go to the other side of town and stay at a second generation family owned motel and get a much nicer room.

It was a pleasant surprise. A bold move for the area, and not disappointing! The Chicken Masala and Naan bread were delicious.

I've enjoyed Indian food for many years. I am so glad this town in northwest Nebraska has an Indian restaurant. And I hope it will stay. Brought my aunt and cousin to this restaurant and it was their first time having Indian food. They are locals to Valentine and Cherry County, Nebraska. Thank you, owners of Raine Restaurant Lounge.

I 'm leaving this review here because I couldn 't open a new one for the motel its self the review is for the motel they are on the same propriety . "We asked the locals how they got such good reviews and they said it was from the previous owners.The new owners are cheap and not worth the money .They want to charge you $10.00 for a missing towel even though they were thin and gray and had holes in them and were very old .They wanted you to use the room ice bucket and charge $10.00 for excessive ice.They gave are room key to another customer they knocked on are door waking us up thank God they didn 't come in a half hour later the owners knocked on are door and could clearly see we had a do not disturb sign on the door not to mention my husband drove more then 4 hundred miles we were so tried again wanting to know how we got in and asked us who checked us in and what time even though they were the ones who checked us in they were very rude and argumentative we offered to show them a receipt and asked what there problem was so they left they made us feel like we were squatters they made us feel very uncomfortable made us feel like we had to walk on egg shells the rest of the night horrible night stay with not much rest .The room was very dusty and beds were very old and sagging security was minimal giving some one else are room key with no other way of locking the door . Hair dryer outlet didn 't work I even tried my hair dryer and it still didn 't work the switches to lights are up side down and shower knobs are up side down water in sink wouldn 't shut off properly on his ad he says there is laundry on site and there isn 't they show a American restaurant and it 's only Indian food for the price you pay not worth it there was no breakfast offered .This place is horrible avoid at all cost we went down to Trade Winds after we checked in at Raine and seen there rooms and they were nice and the owner was so pleasant and the grounds looked very nice when were traveling though again we will stay there instead not here ever again .Stay At Trade Winds for Sure !!!!!!

Fantastic Indian Food. The garlic nan was to due for. Very friendly people as well. We will go back!
