Restaurant bewertenStopped in on previous reviewer's espresso advice....but! If you are an espresso snob like me don't get too excited, lots of variety but capsule quality! Everyone around me was tucking into Oysters that seemed to be going down well, not sure if that is just on market day.
If you are particular about your espresso or pourovers, finding your morning coffee in France can be challenging. Some is great but much is not. If you are in or near Uzes, take a look at the Bar de l 'Esplanade. We noticed the signs offering 8+ regional varieties Guatemala, Mexico, Brazil, etc. some organic varieties 'bio ' , and Peruvian decaf; and after 2 weeks in France we were inspired by the idea that we had a choice. So in we went. This is a classic French bar cafe popular with local residents, bright and friendly, and in addition to inside tables there are lots of tables chairs outside on the sidewalk. We don 't normally drink capsule coffee. This bar uses a capsule system we weren 't familiar with, filled with single estate specified varietal coffees from the La Maison du Bon Cafe based in Avignon. Check out their website for more detail. The proprietor of the cafe cares a lot about quality and consistency; it 's clear that the machine is cleaned fully daily, the capsules are fresh, and the machine is well maintained. When the proprietor saw we were genuinely interested, she shared as much as our limited French could handle. These are 7g pulls, and yes they can produce a ristretto if you want one. We started with a 'Papouasie ' espresso, and a decaf 'allonge ' using the Peruvian naturally low caffeine beans; best cups we 'd had for the weeks we 've been in France. So then tried a Blue Mountain Jamaica espresso definitely try this if you love that rich, refined, rounded fruity with chocolate notes experience. To find this cafe from the medieval centre of Uzes, head out one of the exits on the west side of the Place aux Herbes. The cafe is on the corner of the inner ring road at Ave. de la Liberation, where it meets the east end of the Esplanade open parking area. Open 6 21.00. We hope you 're as pleased as we were with this classic French cafe with coffee that 'vaux le detour ' is worth a detour .
Exellent parking close to the center with easy access to the center
All the restaurants in the city of Uzès were full display we finally found the esplanade bar. We were very well received on the terrace. We chose not to be able to make a full meal for ham bruchettas. with drinks (wine, beers and coffee) we paid the sum of euros. It was very simple but tasty. We join our cash ticket proving our arrival in this establishment.
Excellent café to have a drink and watch the world go by. They don't take credit cards here simply because there are numerous banks within meters. Staff are friendly and efficient and the proprietor has a wicked sense of humour, a bit unusual for a Frenchman. This is not a restaurant. It is a bar that does hot snacks.
