Hervey Bay RSL - Urraween

I and my husband came here tonight when we just came by and we just have to spread the word of this hidden gem of a place. We were just on the way through the sun cost and wanted something familiar, so... we chose the local RSL. we expected the usual pub feed, but were blown away with the quality of the service offered here and also through the food. We could see that it was a bit busy, but the young man at the reception, Alex, worked very hard to find us a place, and John I think his name was very polite to show us. a long table away from all the buzz I thought was perfect as it would be much more relaxed for us. I had some trouble finding out what to order so I was flying to a server and he helped me to go even though the menu to meet my requirements as well as those of hubby. I don't remember his name, but he had a black bracelet. our food came out very quickly and it was perfection, good about what I would expect. a fantastic and entertaining atmosphere of the whole place and will definitely do this when we are in town.

I've never been in an RSL this big or this beautiful. There were large parking spaces and when I was blown away inside with the staff, atmosphere and also food. We were for Bingo when we went on a Tuesday night and we were new... playing, the ladies helped us so much and we all had great conversations and enjoyed some laughs. I loved the minute silence and tribute before the food service it was just brilliant and moved. Our meals were absolutely delicious and the mushroom engraving was like nothing we had ever tried so delicious. Thanks for the memories and a fabulous atmosphere. We all enjoyed our night very much.

At the moment you enter the lobby, the ultra friendly staff are so friendly and feel like we've been here for years. Meals are large and tasty and they have plenty of dining area in Bistro. Convenient drinks in the city will definitely be... back.

Arriving around the noon Saturday place finally fills space for three around the back. Determined what to order long queue with only one man who orders and payment. Finally ordered. After 35 minutes waiting for meals, one of the few employees questioned what's going on! My granddaughter crispy chicken burgers with chips came over boiled with luke warm chips, my order for lamb was the same and my wife seafood linguine similar sent her back 10 minutes later the food was obviously only microwave tired old ****. The food obviously had been eating for a long time to wait for the delivery. The food in this place is not good enough to put it mild and the place was underused to boot. This place ranks with the bistro at the Hervey Bay Golf Club (also operated by the RSL), which is both pathetic for its food and service, give them a big lounge!!!!

First visit to Hervey Bay RSL, was a Sunday night so was unsure of what could be expected, but to our amazement, plenty of people inside with a great atmosphere. Everyone was friendly from the attendants at the door to the bar servers and waiters....A quick drink to start then ordered our meals. Easy to order well priced. Meals were served quickly and fantastic serving size. All fresh and very tasty. Will certainly return for my regular work visits here.
