Restaurant bewertenSensational value and byo. A small restaurant with a lot to offer. Shame it's a side street restaurant as the quality deserves Esplanade exposure. We'll make this a regular????
Hard not to notice, an older man which looks to be the owner picking on the poor young lady who was the waitress. He kept having a go at her and yelling at her. I go to dinner to relax and have a good time, not to see staff getting belittled in front of everyone. Rude arrogant man. The food was below average. Couldn't eat it. We have been going to gringos for years, we won't be returning after tonight's events.
We had read the reviews @ these were all in the money. Meal portions are large, would advise against having a big lunch and then coming here for dinner. We had 2 chicken enchiladas @ a deluxe nachos between 2 adults, we could have opted for the entree size nachos. The children were well catered for via the children's menu and entree sized meals. Only one person handling all front service so service not overly attentive but when meals are this good who cares. Overall, pretty good, would recommend.
Encouraged by the good reviews, we went to this restaurant for dinner expecting honest Mexican cuisine. The place is clearly touristy but nice and the staff are nice. The restaurant does not serve alcoholic drinks but you can buy them in a shop opposite and drink them during dinner. We decided to try their non-alcoholic sangria but it was practically an orange fanta. To eat we tried two different types of encillada both with very little flavor and very different from the taste experienced in other Mexican restaurants. One thing we really liked was being able to choose the spiciness level from 1 to 7 and the standard low spiciness level is 3.
Started with guacamole dip and corn chips, followed by seafood nachos for myself and supreme nachos for my partner! They were very considerate as my partner didn't want beef and wanted chicken, they accommodated her request which was great! Sizes were massive had the main size plates, will definitely be considering entree sizes next time! Had a non alcoholic sangria to share between us, it tasted great and would definitely recommend! Didn't stay for dessert as were sooo full! Had to ask for a take away container!!! Overall service was great, and for such a good meal was really happy with the price! Restaurant is quite small but the atmosphere was great! Very happy and will go again!
