The food was amazing! Very very good tornedó and wild boar! The sides were also incredibly cooked. Reasonably priced. The staff is very nice and dressed up for the medieval experience. For sure a place to come back whenever around. Thanks for the incredible meal!

This was the best food we have had in Portugal so far. The restaurant recreated a Lusitanian theme with medieval dress and decorations, with wild boar and venison on the menu. Beautifully cooked large portions, impeccable service and an entertaining evening. We came back the next night for more!

After trying a few places in neighbor towns, we've been here with my girlfriend after recommendations received from other hotel guests and it's definitely been the best meal we've had in a very long time! Starting from the very original atmosphere, drawn from local history, and remarkable courtesy of the service, but especially the unrivaled quality of the food, which took us deep inside the typical flavours of the Serra da Estrela. The soup is the best we found in many attempts around here! We strongly recommend the boar and the veil with mountain cheese and sausages, which come with several traditional sides already. The red wine recommended by the waiter was extremely good and appropriate. We also had traditional liqueurs offered, of which we really recommend the chestnut one! Prices more than honest considering the quality and quantity of the food!

We had a very good meal here but it was also very expensive. As per other reviews the staff were very helpful and there was a nice ambience. Our meal for two was 54 euros for three courses including wine and coffee.

Very good food on an very nice environment. The waiters and the decoration is like in Viriato's times.
