Restaurant bewertenVery good food. I had the baked salmon a nice change from eating fried food.
We originally went to try the advertised specials. They were out. They were out of ALL the special advertised food plates. So we had fish and chips. It was good. The service was adäquate, the employees were friendly. This store is probably one of the original stores as it's been there since the mid 70's that I know of. A very small restaurant, not much seating, but doesn't have that big chain sore feel, it was cozy and the food was good. All in all a good dining experience.
Wife wanted to try the Lobster bites. Drive up only. Cash only. I ordered the Lobster bites adding the 2piece fish and 2 sides. Fries and cole slaw. $12.98 . I asked for a receipt. Says it's in the bag. It wasn't. Can't complain without a receipt. All in 1 box. 9 small Lobster bites about like the small part of your thumb. Wife says it taste like FISH not Lobster. Fish pieces were rubbery and kind of hard, very greasy. Fries tasted like fish also. Cole Slaw was actually good. Newspaper up to several of the windows. Oh well, live and learn Don't go back.
Usually a great place to eat just not today. Food was SUPER fat to avoid eating. Hush puppies were soggy. Unfortunately it was almost $50 for this meal and most of it went into the garbage.
Food was hot and fresh, and service was prompt. A nice place to stop off the loop in Tyler for quick and affordable bite to eat. Some Long John's in these small cities will let you down, but not this one! I would stop there again when I am craving some hot and greasy fish!
