Best Italian food we’ve ever had, and that includes having dined in Italy. Three words: The. Pillow. Bread. It would be my last meal of death row, that’s how good it is.

We loved everything about Tappi! The bucatini carbonara was some of the best I’ve ever had, the menu was thoughtful, delicious, and perfect. The wine list was great as well we enjoyed red wines from Sicily and the Veneto region. The ambiance was intimate and cozy, and the service was friendly and excellent. Our family visits the Methow Valley every summer, and getting a reservation at Tappi was at the top of our list it’s a restaurant that captures the heart and essence of Italian cooking.

Pillow bread with chevre and tomatoes was absolutely amazing five stars, deserves ten stars . Penna cotta as well five stars . The reason why I gave three stars overall is the main dish and the way the wine was served. I ordered tuna pasta and it was pretty decent. Undercooked pasta with canned tuna fish two star . The wine was served in a water glass… really bizarre ? . Pricy restaurant can’t let such an oversight. Place is cosy and charming.

This place has the most authentic Italian food we’ve ever had in the states. Prices were good and our server was friendly. When we are back in Twisp we will definitely eat there again.
